Church can become boring and the Christian life stale if we don't stay within the basic idea the Lord had for us.  It can become a daily and weekly set of rituals and attempts to stay away from sin.   Jesus, however, when choosing his first disciples said this: "Come and follow me and I will make you fishers of men." (PS. He continues to choose people daily to follow Him).
He also closed off his earthly work with the words;
" Therefore, as you go, disciple all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you each and every day until the end of the age.”  (Matthew 28:19,20)

- get going from here and get people to follow Me.
- get them immersed into the Father, Son & Spirit.
- teach them to follow My ways.
- "PS. it's not so difficult - I'm with you every day to the end".

We were saved to become involved in saving others.
We were called to witnesses that Jesus is alive and well and coming to a city near you.

BEING INVOLVED IN THE SALVATION OF OTHERS IS THE GREAT THRILL

It is one thing doing an interesting and fulfilling career but something completely different helping people plan a trip into eternity.  If you think planning a trip to Thailand is exciting. then what about meeting people from every tribe, tongue and nation in a newly created heaven and earth?

There is nothing on earth like seeing the seeds of eternity take root in another person's life.

"And so, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only when I was with you but even more now that I am absent, continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.  For it is God who is producing in you both the desire and the ability to do what pleases him.  Do everything without complaining or arguing. so that you may be blameless and innocent, God's children without any faults among a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine like stars in the world as you hold out the word of life.  Then I can boast in the day of Christ that I did not run in vain or work hard in vain. " (Philippians 2:12-16)

- this salvation plan is a lifelong journey - work it out.
- don't worry - God is working in you to get you right.
- one key is "no arguing & complaining".
- God's plan is for you to shine like stars as you WITNESS.

HOW TO WITNESS

1) BE BEFORE YOU DO - it is about who you are in Christ - it's about His Spirit in you - people shouldn't have to ask.
"So that if any do not obey the word, they may also be won without the word by the conduct of the wives, having witnessed your chaste behavior in the fear of God". (1 Peter 3:1,2)

2) YOU CAN ONLY WITNESS WHAT YOU'VE EXPERIENCED
You don't have to be a Bible expert to tell people about Jesus.  The pharisees where and they didn't know the truth.  Jesus just wants you to believe & act an the little you know - thats FAITH.

3) ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS
Kindness, mercy, acceptance etc. is what shows people there is hope.

4) PRAYER OPENS THE EYES OF BLIND HEARTS
Most of the battle is spiritual and God is way ahead of us.

5) THE POWER OF THE SPIRIT TO BREAK BONDAGES

The church exploded across the earth because of the work of the Spirit.  Follow Him and see people "born from above." (John 3:6-8)
