About us

Bluewater Bay City & Community Church is situated on the outskirts of Port Elizabeth, South Africa, in a very special seaside community. We firmly proclaim Jesus Christ as the only Son of God through whom we are saved, we believe in the Bible as the inspired word of God, we acknowledge that the Holy Spirit is actively working through believers today, we underline the importance of meeting together to praise and worship our God, and we recognise that 'cell groups' are the key to church growth.

Services

Morning Service: every Sunday morning at 8.00, 9.30 am

This service revolves around a time of praise and worship to our Lord, followed by the preaching of the Word. There is always an opportunity to receive ministry straight after the service. The format of the service is relaxed, with opportunities for congregational prayer and sharing. We promote the breaking of bread in homes. The praise and worship music is drawn from many of the leading contemporary sources from all over the world, including HOSANNA!, Kingsway, Hillsong, Soul Survivor, Vineyard, etc.

Junior Church: every Sunday morning at 9.30 am

The Junior Church caters for children from 2 to 15 years of age. Mothers with infants up to age 2 are requested to use the Mother's Room. Children meet together in a large group format for praise and worship, after which children move to small groups to receive teaching and ministry in age related groups.

Evening Service: every Sunday evening at 6.00 pm

This is a community-driven service conducted in Afrikaans. It has received a good deal of support since starting in January 2007.
